Gisele Marguerite Vigeant passed peacefully into eternal life on Friday March 29, 2024 at the age of 92. She was born in Berthierville, Quebec in Canada and later moved with her family to Central Falls.

She is survived by her two loving daughters Claire Cahill of Abington and her husband Robert and Joanne Setaro of Attleboro. She was the oldest of 12 and is survived by her sister Pierette Robert and her husband Paul, her sister Madeleine Kiras, her brother Normand Richard and her brother John Richard and his wife Joan. Gisele was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer, Caitlyn and Gina Setaro and Meaghan, Matthew and Kimberly Cahill, along with ten great-grandchildren.

Gisele joins her beloved husband, Roger Vigeant, who passed away 22 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Lionnel and Jeannette Richard of Central Falls. She is predeceased by her siblings Real, Theresa, Jeannine, Germaine, Claude, Peter and Doris.

Gisele was a long time employee of the Central Falls School Department. Prior to that she worked at Standard Romper and the Electric Company. She was deeply religious and very much enjoyed being the matriarch of a large family. She loved Scrabble, chocolate, cookies (Milanos specifically), reading and spending time with family. She lived a life of faith and collected so many rosary beads she needed a new place to store them all. She loved pastels and always made sure her shirt and pants matched. She loved to watch Wheel of Fortune every night. She had a deep appreciation for family and remembered countless stories from her childhood. Nothing made her happier than having visitors or going to lunch on Saturdays. She loved getting a fresh manicure from her granddaughter as often as possible.

Visitation will be held Friday April 5, 2024 from 4-7pm at the Jeanne Jugan Residence at 964 Main Street, Pawtucket RI, 02860. A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday April 6, 2024 at 10am in the chapel at the Jeanne Jugan Residence. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to The Little Sisters of the Poor, Jeanne Jugan Residence at 964 Main Street, Pawtucket RI, 02860. We deeply appreciate the wonderful care the dedicated staff have given her over the last eight years.
